We invite you to join us to pursue the presence of God together in extended times of worship at The Link on one Sunday evening per month.
The event will be called ‘Connect’, and as it says, it is all about giving time and space to enable people to connect with God through worship.
We believe that worship is actually an end in itself not just a preliminary to a meeting. It is more than just singing songs although singing is one expression of praise and worship. We want to give time and space for God to come and meet with us. Sometimes that takes perseverance and sometimes He just comes but we want to worship Him simply because He is worthy! He longs to spend time with us and we long for Him to come and meet with us corporately and individually.
Worship is a weapon, a release, a refreshing stream, a gateway into God’s presence; it releases the Holy Spirit to work in our midst and enables the Gifts of the Spirit to be manifest, and much more. We hope you will be able to set aside these times to seek God together and to lift up the name of Jesus. All are welcome.
The following is from the Book ‘Manifest Presence’ by Jack Hayford and it gives us some insights into the importance of worship in the life of the church.
“God almighty is stirring hearts to worship because he is about to make an entrance. Because worship is pivotal to His being welcomed into earthly settings and situations, His Spirit is moving His people to, as it were, ‘roll out the red carpet – the King is coming to visit you.’
…Worship is paving the way for waves of divine grace to flow … 1. God is waiting for a human invitation to manifest Himself, and 2. Worship is the means for inviting Him to do so.
We are on a journey with God – We invite you to join us on this journey into His heart through praise and worship and seeking Him, in unity, in spirit and in truth.
‘Come let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and singing’ Psalm 95 v1 and 2.
